Wilde Lake Middle School is Maryland’s first Net Zero and LEED Platinum public school. The new replacement building was constructed on the existing building site which remained operational during construction. Oak worked closely with the school to communicate the new and different operations that were expected and required to operate a Net Zero school. Extensive testing, specifically in regards to the building envelope, and critical attention regarding the installation and commissioning of the mechanical and electrical systems was needed due to the stringent LEED Platinum requirements.
