Quarterfield Elementary School

Quarterfield Elementary School is a replacement building that was constructed on an occupied site while the existing building remained operational. The the new building is located in the back of the site, where a clearance of approximately 30’ from the existing building was managed during construction. Oak worked closely with the design team and AACPS to phase the construction of the new building, demolition of the existing building and installation of parking and site elements to maintain school and site functions at all times. After the existing school was demolished an additional curb cut was installed for the bus loop to provide for better separation of vehicular traffic on-site.
