Blue Heron Elementary School

Blue Heron Elementary School was constructed as a new school to help support the growing population of the New Market community. The design and construction provide students with innovative, flexible, and technology-rich learning spaces. The new building is nestled into a hill, utilizing the grade change to separate administrative spaces and classrooms. Collaborative space is a main priority for the school, so opportunities for open gathering areas were provided where corridors intersect. This project achieved LEED Silver certification.
